Luna Lovegood is a character in the Harry Potter book series. She is in Ravenclaw and is a year younger than Harry Potter. She has wide, misty eyes and waist length, scraggly dishwater blonde hair. With a permanently surprised look on her face, her butterbeer cork necklace, radish earrings, and her wand tucked behind her ear, she gives off a 'distinct air of dottiness'.

She can see the magical creatures called the Thestrals, and only the people who have seen someone die can see these fascinating creatures. She joined the DA (Dumbledore's Army) and she's been friends with Ginny Weasley, a public supporter of Harry.
"A Wrackspurt - they're invisible, they float in through your ears and make your brain go fuzzy," she said. "I thought I felt one zooming around in here."
